This opening par 5 requires an accurate tee shot to a avoid the water hazard on the left side of the fairway and the fescue on the right. If you decide to go for it, aim off to the left, beware, the shallow green is guarded by a meandering creek in front and behind. A layup inside of 100 yards will leave a short wedge shot into this green, and get you off to good start. Avoid the BIG number.
Aim your tee shot to the left side of this green and let the natural contour of the hole move your ball towards the green. Tee shots which are long or to the right end up in unplayable terrain. It is better to be short than long. This green slopes from back to front.
This short Par 4 is straight away and is defended by Out-Of-Bounds on your right and a green which slopes from front to back. An accurate tee shot favoring the left center should leave you a short iron into this green giving you a great birdie opportunity.
A good tee shot is needed here to avoid the trees on the left and fescue to the right. The LEFT edge of the Clubhouse is a good target. Avoid the small pond on the right hidden in the trees with your layup shot. Play for Par here and maybe you will have a chance for a birdie. This is a small green with slight undulations from back to front.
A true dog leg, which if played properly will leave a short to mid-iron approach and give you a look at birdie. Play your tee shot at the 150 marker in the middle to avoid the water hazard on the inside of this dog-leg. Accuracy on the 2nd shot is at a premium here, as this green is protected in front and behind by a creek and environmental area.
A generous green gives you a chance at par on this short par 3. Your tee shot should be played to the center of the green. Avoid going long here as the green drops off behind the hole and leaves a delicate chip shot back up to the hole. This green slopes from back to front.
A short Par 5 which can give you an excellent chance at birdie or eagle if you put your drive into play. Accuracy is more important than distance. The ESA stretches from the right side of this hole and across the fairway, roughly 150 yards out from the hole which could make up your mind to lay up or go for it. This is a great little Risk and Reward hole.
A tee shot favouring the left side of the fairway will avoid the ESA on the right. This will leave you a short iron approach to this green guarded in front by our creek. An approach shot here should be longer rather than shorter to this raised green. This hole also plays slightly uphill and be mindful of the wind.
Finding the fairway off your tee shot is important as you don’t want to roll into the canal. Your 2nd shot should be played to the middle of this undulated green as any shot hit just on will roll off the steep front. Finish strong.
A tee shot into the center of the fairway will leave you an opportunity to hit a short iron approach close to the pin and give you a chance for birdie. This green is protected in front and behind by the ESA. Favor the right side of this green and don’t be short, commit to your approach shot.
Aim your tee shot up the right side of this long par 4 hole to minimize the risk of out of bounds on the left side. This green is sloped from back to front and will be receptive to the mid to long iron approach shot. You’ll feel good about a Par on this hole.
Avoiding the creek which crosses this fairway twice is the key to making a par here. Aim straight away off your tee shot to give yourself the best chance to carry the creek and then place your second shot in the middle of the fairway leaving a simple short iron into this par 5. This flatter green can reward you with a long birdie or eagle putt! Sometimes laying up versus going for this guy in two will keep your momentum in the round.
This short Par 3 should not be taken lightly. Severely sloped from back to front and surrounded by the ESA. A tee shot to the right side of this green is your safest bet to make 3. Trust and commit to the yardage.
A short dog leg left will give you a great opportunity to score a quick birdie towards the end of your round. Play your tee shot at least to the 100 yard marker to see the green on your approach and this will help you attack the hole. Be careful not to go over this green as danger lurks by way of dense willow bushes and a steep uphill chip can be daunting. This is a good Par.
Visually stunning, this is Apple Creeks signature hole. It is visual intimidating and the pond must be accounted for with an extra club to ensure you carry to the large green. Tee shots from the Black, Blue or Red Teeing areas should favour the left side of this green as the natural setup of this hole can steer your shot right into the pond. Great hole for pictures.
A short Par 4 with our ESA in front of the tee boxes and half way up the left side of the hole. Finding the fairway will give you a great chance for birdie as you will only have a short to mid-iron left into this raised green. Aim to the center of the green and a putt from there will give you the best chance for birdie. Accuracy is a must.
A long Par 4 which puts a premium on your tee shot and will leave you a long iron in to this narrow and elevated green. Play to the left center of this fairway to avoid the trees on the right off the tee shot. Play to the right side of this green to avoid the Environmental area to the left of the green. Dig deep on this hole and don’t overswing. Finish strong.
The finishing hole at Apple creek gives you much to think about, such as what you plan to eat or drink in the Orchard Lounge or how beautiful the clubhouse looks, but stay focused. Driving your ball as close to the canal as possible will leave you a shot iron approach. An easy par or birdie is a nice way to finish your round, but beware of the undulation on the green.
